How picks are scored

Every hero in your role gets points for: about 640 hero-vs-hero counters; team needs (hitscan into flyers, a main healer, peel into dive, anti-heal into sustain); comp style (dive beats poke, poke beats brawl, brawl beats dive); synergy and ult combos with your teammates; the map or point (its traits compared with the rest of your role, plus real per-map win rates from counterwatch.gg); your side on payload maps; and the current tier for your rank band. Counters and map stats come from match data; the rest are expert rules. Fewer known heroes means lower confidence, and your comfort on a hero still matters more than a point or two.

Data

Checked 3 Oct 2026, Season 4 (8 Sep patch, 17 Sep hotfix). Map stage notes and attack/defence advice are community knowledge, not win rates. The Season 5 toggle adds Doctrine, Sombra as Support, the Roadhog rework and Watchpoint: Grímsvötn. Doctrine and Grímsvötn are provisional.
